How to find odd and even numbers

To find out if your answer should be odd or even you only need to apply your knowledge of odd or even numbers from 0 to 9 to the units column of your answer, as all multiples of 10, 100 or 1000 are divisible by 2.

Example   23 + 49

                9 + 3 = 12

2 is even therefore the answer is even

Example   22 + 37

                2 + 7 = 9

9 is odd therefore the answer is odd
